JINRAL TAO - R&B Core with Gospel Roots and Tight Harmonies.
My real name is Mark, but I go by the moniker, "Jinral Tao". I was born in Jamaica and came to Canada many years ago with my immediate family. I fell in love with this country which I now call home (minus the wintery cold).
I got bitten by the musical bug at childhood and haven't been able to shake the venom from my veins. Because of it, I've picked up playing bass and was a part of an all guys band for some time with dreams of doing music as a career. Circumstances led me to leave the band and I ended up working a 9-5. However, I kept doing music as a side interest.
Not long ago, I decided to put together and release an album from some of the songs I've written. The album is entitled, "Jinral Tao - Don't Get Too Close To Me",
which is mostly a solo effort that I am producing in my spare time. My music style could be described as having an R&B core with gospel roots and tight harmonies (but really, I try anything).
Originally, the release time frame was scheduled around spring 2012. However, due to some unforseen circumstances I had to push the date back to the fall of 2012.
I am working hard at meeting this new deadline and sincerely hope that you will enjoy listening to my songs as much as I enjoy making them. I've uploaded the title track of my album for you to get sort of a feel for where I'm headed with the project.
